Drug Busts Land 9 in Jail in Luzerne, Monroe Counties - Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 6:22PM EST
An undercover drug deal led to a big drug bust in Wilkes-Barre. Police say an undercover officer bought heroin from Claudie Robinson at 30 Susquehanna Street in Wilkes-Barre Saturday night.
Police arrested a 29-year-old woman also known as "Nasty." Police also arrested 21-year-old James Johnson and 35-year-old Tammi Kizer. Police seized various drugs such as heroin, marijuana, ecstasy and a loaded handgun inside the home.
In Monroe County police arrested 5 people and also seized drugs and loaded guns. Police say a ring of drug dealers were operating at the "Wawa" gas station on the Blakeslee corners in Blakeslee.
The investigation included a raid at a home. Police say they caught one suspect flushing baggies of marijuana down the toilet. Officers confiscated packaged cocaine, ecstasy, prescription pills and weapons from the home.
The five arrested were Mario Sanchez of New York, Michael, Nicholas, Marlena and Frank Fiore, all of Blakeslee. | |
