DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Dunmore's council is contesting a ruling calling for the borough to pay a $365,000 medical bill.

The State Labor Relations Board ordered Dunmore, last week, to reimburse a firefighter injured on the job in 2006.

Last night, council members voted to negotiate a payment. Council says it could mean a tax adjustment for the community.

Friends and family of the injured firefighter say they've been paying these bills long enough.

The firefighter's family says the borough's payment will allow him to resume physical therapy sessions for his injuries.
