LACKAWANNA COUNTY - Dunmore Council members met Mon. night to discuss ways to save money.

Their referendum to pay for the fire department with a tax hike failed last week.

They want to meet with union reps for the fire and police department.

If they can't come up with a compromise, the borough might apply for distressed status or bankruptcy.
