Hughesville, Lycoming County- The East Lycoming School District's soccer stadium has been re-named in honor of one of it's most dedicated supporters. From now on, it will be known as the Raymond H. Perritt Soccer Stadium. Officials wanted to recognize Perritt's years of work in fundraising and designing the stadium. Perritt is quick to give credit to everyone who helped along the way, and says he does it all for the kids. He explained, "Year after year, just watching them grow and seeing them go from kindergarten right through seniors and coming out here, when they walk out here in the AYSO to get their pictures taken, all they want to do is come out here and play, and now their dreams are coming true."
Raymond H. Perritt Stadium also plays host to district and state soccer playoff games. The stadium's lights allow many parents and fans to attend the games at night.
