The bad economy didn't seem to be hurting businesses across the region on this Easter holiday.
Many restaurants tell us they were packed to the brim. One of those places was Alfredo's Restaurant in Fountain Springs, Schuylkill County. Workers say they were booked solid with reservations.
Many people were regular customers, but others just wanted to get out and enjoy the day with family. I guess its easier to have everyone together at the restaurant instead of at home. A lot of people don't have enough table space for everyone and we do," said waitress Kayla Heart.
It was a similiar story for the Radisson in downtown Scranton. Workers say the number of dinner reservations were way up this year.
And another Easter tradition is of course buying flowers. We found a steady stream of people buying Easter arrangements Sunday at Sirak's Greenhouse on Route 309 in Wilkes-Barre Township.
We talked with one woman who says she buys flowers every year. "I don't know, it's tradition, it's pretty, it's spring... it's, you know, more life I guess," said Tina Lenahan.
In case you didn't know, the Easter Lily is the fourth largest potted plant crop in the U. S., behind poinsettias, azaleas and mums.
