A life long dream is now reality for Michele and Duane Kersteen. Their Sprinkles Ice Cream Parlor opened only three weeks ago and already has a few regulars. 85 and a half year old Albert Yescavage enjoys his daily dose of the gourmet goodies. Sprinkles is one of several new shops filling empty store fronts at the Gateway Shopping Center.
It was two years ago this month the curtain closed at the Gateway Cinema. In it's place, brand new retail space, up for grabs. Nearby a new hair salon should open this fall. The shopping center's officials says they still have about thirty thousand square feet of retail space to fill.
