MILTON, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY- An elderly man has pleaded guilty to the mercy killing of his wife last year.
James Blake of Milton admitted to killing his wife Faye in their apartment at Milton Towers last October.
The 80-year-old says he shot his wife while she slept in a recliner, to end years of misery she had with health problems.
Blake faces up to 40 years in prison when he's sentenced.
