DYBERRY TOWNSHIP, WAYNE COUNTY -- A 96-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after a fire in Wayne County.

The fire broke out at a home on Beech Grove Road in Dyberry Township near Seelyville. It was around 9:30 Friday morning.

Firefighters say heavy smoke and flames were shooting from the home when they got on the scene.

An elderly woman and her daughter were inside at the time. They got out okay, but the elderly woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

A state police fire marshal spent part of the day at the scene. He thinks it was an accident.
