After spending time over the summer walking dogs with her grandmother, Marianna Gerrity thought she would lend a helping hand to the pets looking for a permanent home.
So, she and her fellow fifth-grade friend, Noelle Arcaro, decided to start a collection drive for pet food at their school. This month, they are collecting pet food, toys, blankets and bedding for animals at the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter. Next month, supplies will be collected for the SPCA in Montrose. | | |
