Some big changes are underway at Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg. Hospital officials broke ground Friday on a new $32 million surgical and cardiovascular center. The 41,000 square foot facility will provide the space, equipment and technology needed for future growth at the advanced medical facility. Evangelicals President & CEO Michael OKeefe noted, "It is a place where lives will be changed, and lives will be saved. It is a place where miracles will happen everyday." The surgical and cardiovascular expansion project is the largest the hospital has ever undertaken. It's expected to take about two-and-a-half years to complete.
