HERSHEY- WBRE is the only local station to be recognized by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasting. Eyewitness News received two Excellence in Broadcasting awards in Hershey.

Sports Director Phil Schoener won an award for Outstanding Coverage of a Local Sporting Event. The award recognized Phil's coverage of the PA Top Gun Challenge presented by the U. S. Army. This is the third year in a row our sports team has brought home this award.

And the second award received went to Eyewitness News reporter Laurie Monteforte. It is for Outstanding Television Feature Story-Report-Series. Laurie's award recognizes the work she did on "Iraq Scars.” It was the story of an injured soldier returned from the war.
