SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- Some people may have thought it was even warmer than it actually was Saturday thanks to a spicy event.

The Scranton Fraternal Order of Eagles held its second annual Chili Cook-Off. Entrants cooked up more than 40 kinds of chili ranging from mild to -- you guessed it -- spicy hot.

The Scranton group holds several charitable events. It decided to dedicate this one to helping the American Cancer Society.

Organizer Colleen Naughton said, "A lot of people are touched, know someone that's been diagnosed or has cancer. So we're figuring that we're doing something to get rid of the winter blues, have a good time, it's good food, good time, good cause."
