Williamsport, Lycoming County-

Penn College hosted a financial aid workshop for families in Williamsport.

Advisors helped parents and students fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, Thursday night.

The workshop was held at the college’s Student and Administrative Services Center.

Information given on the FAFSA determines if students are eligible for scholarships, grants, and loans.

Federal grant specialist Jim Green explained, “It really is the most important financial aid application. We recommend every single student to complete a FAFSA regardless of their income, regardless of their parents’ income.”

2008 federal income tax records are required for those attending the sessions.

For more information, you can contact the financial aid office at Penn College.
