The I-Team's Joe Holden is investigating this story. Two independent sources tonight tell Eyewitness News federal agents were interested in a list of property owners.
We're told their names mysteriously disappeared from a list of those who owed back taxes.
The tax claims office handles, in part, the recovery of overdue tax bills.
Our sources claim this latest investigation is probing the removal of those specific names from that back-tax list.
County managers tell us the office is managed by Beth Ann Christian.
We tried reaching Christian at her Plains Township Home.
Our message for comment was not returned.
Another source in the county told our Joe Holden Monday night they asked about this supposed list months ago, but were allegedly told it did not exist.
And now the question, who was allegedly pardoned from forking over tax money to the county?

Our sources tell us agents were interested in some activity in the office under a manager who is no longer with the county.
