DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY
Classes at Holy Cross High School in Dunmore opened for the Fall semester on Wednesday morning. The original starting date of September 2nd had to be delayed while modular classroom units were being prepared for the school.
Holy Cross represents a merger of the former Bishop O'Hara and Bishop Hannon High Schools. The merger took place last year. But, at that time, both school buildings were being used. Now, all of the students will be under one roof.
School officials say schedules have been set up in such a way so the year will not be extended due to the late start. | | |
