PECKVILLE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY

A family of four from Peckville was taken to CMC Hospital in Scranton Monday morning after being exposed to carbon monoxide fumes.

Emergency responders said they were called to the Wilcox residence at 900 Gino Merli Drive after the family dog collapsed. One responder said that carbon monoxide levels in the house were 'at a toxic level."

The fumes were believed to have come from a faulty chimney.
