ROARING BROOK TWP., LACKAWANNA COUNTY- State and local police are investigating a violent crash that happened this morning just before 10:00 along Route 348.

A car and a dump truck collided about a mile east of the Windsor Hill development. Reports from the scene indicate one person was killed. It's unknown if anyone else was injured.

Police shut down this part of Route 348 during the investigation but it should be reopen this noon after the Lackawanna County crash.
