Father-Son Pot Operation Busted - Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 4:51PM EST

GORDON, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- Police say they busted up a father-son pot dealing operation. The arrests happened Tuesday night on Biddle Street in Gordon.

Tuesday evening at 6:30, police pulled Alfonzo Delao over when they say he was swerving in traffic. Police searched the car with a K-9 dog and found 23-pounds of marijuana in a spare tire.

Police then went to Delao's Biddle Street home where they arrested his father, Hector. Marijuana was apparently in the house as well.

Some neighbors knew something suspicious was happening and are glad there's been an arrest. Elmer Waldick said, "It took them a while to get them but don't let them out. Just lock them up and throw the key away."

Four other people were arrested in this bust. They will face drug charges, too. Police believe there could be more marijuana out there that this father-son combo were going to sell.

This came to several departments' attention just this week. Many police departments took part, including Schuylkill County detectives.
