HARRISBURG- More than $1-billion is bound for Pennsylvania roads thanks to the federal bailout. PennDOT announced Monday what construction projects would be funded by the economic stimulus package. The idea is for the projects to create jobs and growth in the area.

Luzerne County looks to be the big winner, with nearly $43-million coming. Two of the biggest projects include $24-million to revamp the Route 29 bridge over the Susquehanna River and another $13-million to repave Interstate 81.

Nearly $28-million is heading to Clinton County for Interstate 80 and Route 220 repairs and repaving.

$3.7 million to Bradford County for bridge repairs

$4.2 million to Carbon County for repaving Route 209

Nearly $28 million to Clinton County for I-80 and U. S. 220 repairs/repaving

$2.7 million to Columbia County for Bridge Repairs on Route 42 and SR 2001

$5.3 for repaving state routes in Luzerne, Lackawanna Counties

Nearly $43 million to Luzerne County overall

$24 million to Luzerne County for Route 29 Bridge Repairs in Hanover Twp.

Almost $13 million to repave I-81

$1 million to repair bridge over Hunlock Creek

$8.3 to Lycoming County for various projects

Nearly $30 million to Monroe County for safety projects

$2.5 million to Montour County for Rt.54 and I-80 repaving

$8.1 million to Northumberland for bridge repairs and repaving

$15.2 million to Pike County for Rt. 6 improvements and I-84 repaving

$6.7 million to Schuylkill County

$5 million to Snyder County for various projects

$3.3 million to Sullivan County for Rt. 220 repaving

$4.4 million to Susquehanna County for various projects

$5.6 million to Tioga County for various projects

$300,000 to Union County for I-80 repaving, another $3.1 million for other projects

$2.7 million to Wayne County for bridge projects

$5.1 million to Wyoming County for bridge work on Rt. 29 and SR 3001
