LACKAWANNA COUNTY- First school boards, then an airport, now PNC Field - all considered under investigation by federal authorities.

Eyewitness News is now learning the Lackawanna County Stadium Authority was commanded to turn over documents.

However there is some sorting out to be done first. As it has been reported, the federal investigation has certainly appeared to have jumped county lines, spreading north into Lackawanna County.

We've learned from county leaders there that the Stadium Authority, which oversees
PNC Field, was served a subpoena. We're told their looking for records on all contracts carried out between 2004 and 2008. That happened late last week.

This now comes the same time leaders at the Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport were ordered to turn over the records from 2004 through 2008. A time when construction of the Joseph McDade Terminal was underway and eventually completed.

Published reports seem to hammer away that the U. S. Attorney's office is looking through timelines that run concurrent with the former Lackawanna County administration headed by Robert Cordaro. Eyewitness News spoke to Cordaro Wednesday afternoon at which time, he declined comment.

It was also learned Wednesday that Scranton Prep had a visit some time ago from investigators. The school released a statement saying:

ÒScranton Prep officials answered investigators' questions several months ago about an individual who is not an employee of Scranton Prep. The school freely shared all information and records that were requested in that matter.Ó

But attorneys for the school made it clear, that this instance was not part of the on-going corruption investigation.
