BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY - A holiday season tradition is up and running in Bloomsburg.
The 21st annual Treefest is underway at the Caldwell Consistory at 150 Market Street.
Local tree growers donated 150 trees, businesses sponsored the trees and community groups helped decorate them.
While admission fees support the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, Treefest will help many others this holiday season.
"At the end of the event which is December 6th, all the trees and the decorations and the gifts under them come down and get given to families in need," said Scott Atherton, the Administrative Director of Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble.
Organizers hope to help more than 140 families this holiday season.
Treefest is open to the public Sunday from noon to 5:00 p. m. and again next Friday, December 4th from 5:00 p. m to 9:00 p. m, Saturday the 5th from 10:00 a. m. until 6:00 p. m. and Sunday the 6th from noon until 5:00 p. m. | |
