KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY -- The Wyoming Valley West and Wyoming Area field hockey teams face off Thursday night at 5:30, but they're setting aside their rivalry to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
The Warriors are wearing pink t-shirts they had specially made for the game. The Spartans are wearing pink shoelaces and ribbons.
The concession stand will be selling pink baked goods, with all proceeds going towards the cause.
The players each donated $1 per shot taken at school officials, who volunteered to line up between the pipes to play keeper and raise money. | | |
