SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY - The city of Scranton will be getting national attention Saturday afternoon. Bill & Hillary Clinton will join Senator Joe Biden and his wife Jill for a large rally at the Riverfront Sports Complex in Scranton.

Slowly but surely, the stage for the event was set-up Saturday night. The rally is expected to begin at 3:15 PM. Doors for the event will open at 1:15 PM.

"Its really neat to be a part of the political process and to see what goes on in staging an event like this," Tom Nichols, General Manager for the Riverfront Sports Complex said.

At the Democratic headquarters in downtown Scranton, volunteers were busy getting people excited about the event. Organizers say as many as 7,000 people may turn out.

"There's something about Scranton that makes people want to come back to their roots. Its the people who are absolutely wonderful," campaign volunteer Pat O'Brien said.

The rally will not be the first stop for the Clintons in Scranton on Sunday. They're expected to attend a family baptism at the Court Street United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM. Excitement is high on that street as well.

"Its always great to see the Clintons come to town. We're excited that they're going to be across the street. A lot of people want to stop by and say hello," neighbor Sally Locker said.
