HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY- Luzerne County officials say they've nabbed the last two suspects in the attempted robbery and the assault of an elderly couple.
Joseph Bardi and Kevin Fisher were arrested Thursday night. Prosecutors say Bardi helped Anthony Cangiano plan the attack on Nick and Martha Caputo inside their Hazleton home last year.
Investigators say the pair hired Fisher and another man, Dan Pinkney, to carry out the act. Deputy Luzerne County District Attorney David Pedri said, “These defendants had a well thought out plan but didn't expect the investigation or the fight they got from the Caputos."
The District Attorney's office says both Fisher and Bardi admitted to their roles in the Caputo attack. All four suspects are now locked up in the Luzerne County prison. | |
