A Williamsport tavern shut down last week by the city’s codes department has reopened.

The Finish Line Café on West Fourth Street was ordered closed due to structural issues with the roof.

Code administrators feared last week’s heavy snow on the roof posed a threat to patrons.

The snow has since been cleared and temporary supports put in place.

The owners of the Finish Line Café will likely still have to replace that roof as soon as the weather allows.
