HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Fire forced a Luzerne County family of five from their home.

Crews were called out Sunday afternoon just after 3:30 in Hazleton. The fire broke out in a third floor bedroom of this house on Emerald Court. That's where firefighters confined the fire.

The rest of the house sustained heavy smoke and water damage. Crews brought the fire under control in about 15 minutes.

The fire doesn't appear suspicious. The family has a place to stay but the Red Cross is still providing assistance.
