Country Junction/Ashley Furniture along Mundy Street held its grand reopening Saturday.
The business was badly damaged in a Thanksgiving day fire last November.
Repairs began soon after the fire and the business partially reopened this past March.
It took much longer to complete repairs to allow the entire store to open for business.
Co-owner Darrin Gallagher said, "It's been a long time coming. Lots of people have worked really hard to get us to this day and it just feels great. We're just so happy."
Customer Barbara Cann of Wilkes-Barre said, "They have quality furniture and it's very attractive and it's nice to see the front so well manicured, so to speak. Even though it's not finished, it looks nice."
Gallagher expects the store's complete facade to be finished within 2 to 3-weeks.
The business is celebrating its grand reopening through August 24th. | |
