WEST HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY - Fire leaves a two-story home in ruins and another badly damaged.

It's a fire that kept fire crews on scene all Saturday evening in the 200-block of Ridge Avenue.

Witnesses say flames broke out tonight around 7:30 on the rear porch area at 227 Ridge and destroyed the home.

The fire then spread next door to a double block home causing serious damage to the 225 side.

The owner of the house where flames first started lives out of town..

A family member says because of a recent nearby arson case he's concerned this fire may not be an accident.

"This is what's going on around here. People think you've got a vacant house. They're not vacant houses," said Dennis Ingersoll, the victim's brother-in-law. He speculated, "They just want something to do. It's kids, I don't know who it is."

There was no word Saturday night if investigators believe the fire was intentionally set.
