KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY- Close to 100 firefighters battled heat, humidity and fire in the 300 block of Wyoming Avenue late Monday night.

A business called "338" and some vacant apartments were destroyed. Neighbors say the owner was renovating the place. The unidentified man was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation.

Wyoming Avenue was closed all night. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
