WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Emergency crews in Luzerne County were on the move Sunday morning after a house fire in Wilkes-Barre.
It happened just before 4:30 A. M. on Welles Street. Firefighters spent hours pouring water on the unoccupied home. At one point, flames were so intense crews couldn't enter the burning building.
A passing ambulance worker is credited with spotting the fire and alerting authorities. A city fire inspector is looking for the cause. | | |
