WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- People forced out of their apartments by a weekend fire were allowed to go back to retrieve personal belongings on Tuesday.

We found residents of the Sherman Hills high rise being led to their apartments. They were chased out by an accidental fire early Sunday morning.

Flames started on the fourth floor and damaged several nearby apartments.

Clean-up crews and contractors are making repairs. The manager hopes to have Sherman Hills reopened by the end of the week.
