FAIRVIEW TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY- A fire in the basement of a Mountain Top home quickly filled the entire place with thick smoke.

Firefighters from most of Mountain Top and Hanover Township responded to a home in the 400 block of Black Walnut Drive in Fairview Township around 7:30 Thursday evening.

We're told the fire was traced to a fan in the basement. While family members were home at the time, everyone made it out okay.

Firefighters told us there were no injuries.
