Bill Thompson, 66-years-old, was considered a "go to guy" at the Dushore Fire Company in Sullivan County .
Thompson died late last week after returning from a fire call.
Dushore Fire Company Fire Chief Scott hope says Thompson responded to a fire call late Wednesday night.
Thompson then went home and seemed fine, but suffered a heart attack and died.
Thompson was a fireman with the Dushore Fire Company since 1992.
His friends say he was a dedicated volunteer, dependable, devoted, and hard-working.
Hegot the nickname "slick will", and was considered a "jack of all trades" because he knew plumbing and electrical work as well.
Thompson leaves behind a wife and six children.
Thompson’s funeral service is at 10 a. m. Wednesday at the McHenry Russell funeral home in Dushore followed by burial at the Hillside Cemetery just north of Dushore in New Albany , Bradford County .
The State Police Fire Commissioner is expected to attend Wednesday’s service for Thompson. | |
