Firefighters Battle Flames in Luzerne County - Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 5:06PM EST

LUZERNE COUNTY- An early morning fire sent three people to the hospital. The fire broke out at a home in the 200-block of Linden Street in West Pittston around 1:30 Saturday morning.

Three people were taken to a local hospital for breathing in too much smoke. There is no word on their condition. A state police fire marshal is investigating.

Fire crews were also busy battling flames in Wilkes-Barre. Flames broke out at home along the 100-block of Hancock Street around 10:30 Friday night.

There are no reports of any injuries. Investigators are also looking into the cause.
