First Day of Spring Cookout

Folks in Lycoming County welcomed spring with a backyard barbecue at Backyard Broadcasting.
Hundreds braved the chilly conditions for the radio conglomerate’s official first cookout of spring.
The event started at 6 am.
Workers grilled up more than a thousand hot dogs, with side dishes and drinks to boot.
Operations Manager/ Program Director Ted Minier explained, “Everybody’s having a blast because it’s all up in your mind. It’s cold on the outside but you’re warm on the inside knowing that the worst is behind you and the best is yet to come.”
There were plenty of contests, giveaways, and games, including a Rock Band stage that proved very popular.
Backyard Broadcasting has been hosting the spring barbecue for about 15 years. | | |
