HANOVER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Rebuilt and redesigned, but still the same old golden arches.

The Hanover Township McDonalds held its grand opening this morning. The celebration was in full swing here on the San Souci Parkway.

The Hanover Area Band was on hand for a sort of "re-opening". This was the site of the first McDonalds restaurant ever built in the Wyoming Valley.

The owners decided to re-do the building and bring it back better than ever. "It's been successful. People enjoy coming here because they like it and recognize that it's the old location," said owner Carol Mueller.

Owners Albert and Carol Mueller also made donations to the Salvation Army and Hanover Area Band at this grand opening.
