Fishingcreek Fire Victim Needs Help - Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 4:18PM EST

FISHINGCREEK TOWNSHIP, COLUMBIA COUNTY -- The family of 73-year-old Clifton Young, Sr. says he's lucky to be alive after losing his home and his belongings in a fire.

Flames broke out around 11:30pm Saturday at Young's home along Harrison Road. It started in the garage and quickly spread. Young, his girlfriend, and their dog got out safely.

His daughter, Debbie Janney, tells Eyewitness News the house is insured, but none of Young's belongings were. She says her father wears XXL shirts. With pants, his inseam is 32" but his waist size varies. Jeans should be 44" but stretch-waist pants can be 42". They appreciate any help they can get. You can reach Janney at 925-6750.
