Flood Victims Concerned About FEMA Trailers - Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 3:28PM EST

TUNKHANNOCK, WYOMING COUNTY- Jim Nally has been living in a mobile home provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency since the home he was renting was destroyed by a flood in June 2006.

Now Jim says he's worried about formaldehyde in his trailer.

F.E.M.A. found high levels of formaldehyde in some of the mobile homes it provided to victims of Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf region.

The trailers are the same type as those provided to flood victims in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

F.E.M.A. officials have said there is a greater threat to people in the south because of the heat and humidity there.

However, the agency plans to test homes throughout the country if residents make a formal request.
