(WILKES-BARRE, Luzerne County) -

Two former Homeless Veterans from Northeastern Pennsylvania will make their debut in the national spotlight tonight. The two local men will appear on a special program hosted by CNN's John King, about hot button issues taking center stage in Pennsylvania's Democratic Primary.

A few hundred feet from a busy intersection in Wilkes-Barre lie the personal items of many members of the homeless community. Iraq War Veteran Bob Zarnoch led us here to his former home. Iraq War Veteran Robert Zarnoch said, "I had a buddy and me and him would be down here every night."

Zarnoch never imagined he'd be living under the market street bridge after a 13 and a half month deployment to Iraq with the 109th Field Artillery Unit of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

Zarnoch added, "The national statistic is one in four homeless is a Veteran and in Pennsylvania it's worse. Here its one in three homeless is veterans." He (Zarnoch) came home to a marriage that was ending and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Zarnoch stated, "You get to a point and you are stunned because what did we do so terrible to deserve this?" Both he and Michael Keslosky, another Homeless Veteran are back on their feet, now delivering a strong message to America by way of CNN. Keslosky has already shared his thoughts with some of the Presidential candidates.

Michael Keslosky added, "I told him there should be not one homeless veteran. One homeless Veteran is too many." Both men will be featured in a 2-minute story by Reporter Dan Lothian that airs Saturday night at 10 pm. The segment will focus on the Network's look inside Pennsylvania's Democratic Primary.

Keslosky says he's not certified to continue working as an Old Forge Policeman because he didn't get the proper training when he came home from his military obligations.

Keslosky added, "I never figured in my wildest dreams that I'd be homeless." Both men agree the issue of homeless Veterans across the Region needs to be addressed.

Reporter Jill Konopka asks, “How bad is it in Northeastern Pennsylvania? Michael Keslosky stated, ‘It's atrocious. There's a big problem.’"

Keslosky also explains he's lobbying local officials for House Bill 33-93 to protect Veterans from on the job discrimination.
