Former Luzerne County Commissioner Dies - Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 6:00PM EST
WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- Former Luzerne County Commissioner Rose Tucker has died.
The Democrat served a full term from 1992 to 1996. While in office, she fought to see the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza built.
She took office again in 2007 after Todd Vonderheid resigned as commissioner. Tucker had more than 30-years of experience as an administrator of health and social service agencies.
She served as Executive Director of the Luzerne and Wyoming Counties Drug and Alcohol Program.
Tucker and her daughter owned Tucker's Travel Shoppe in Wilkes-Barre. Our condolences go out to Rose Tucker's family. | | |
