Two people are dead after an overnight head-on crash in Columbia County. It happened just after 1:00 A. M. in Aristes along Route 42.

Both Foley and the other driver, 58-year-old Gertrude Troup of Hegins, died at the scene.

And another deadly wreck happened overnight on Route 42 in Jordan Township, Lycoming County.

State police say the driver of a Lincoln Towncar veered off the highway, down an embankment and crashed into a pair of trees. A passing driver discovered the wreckage after daybreak.

State police say the victim is a 47-year-old Unityville man but so far are not releasing his name.

And a Pike County woman is dead after a late-night crash. It happened Saturday night just before 11:30 on Route 6 in Blooming Grove Township.

State police say 20-year-old Sydney Polatnick of Shohola was driving too fast when she left the highway and hit a tree.

Polatnick was pronounced dead at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
