Middleburg, Snyder County-
A Snyder County man was spared jail time after accidentally killing another man while hunting last year.
47-year-old Bruce Edward Mull, of Freeburg, was sentenced to six months probation Thursday for the shooting death of 47-year-old Blaine A. Spickler, of Kreamer.
Mull was also ordered to pay fines and restitution to Spickler’s family.
Mull, who is disabled, was using an S. U.V. as a deer hunting blind, when he accidentally discharged his rifle. Spickler, who was standing outside the truck, was fatally wounded.
Spickler’s 25-year-old daughter, Charity, was gunned down in an unrelated domestic dispute just a few months earlier in Lewisburg.
