5.0000/ 5 rating FREELAND, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Several hundred people living in a Luzerne County housing complex may soon have their water service shut-off. The owner of the Freeland complex has not paid his bill. The water company says unless he pays up, the faucets may "dry-up."

Residents of the Freeland Village apartments may soon be without water. The owner has not paid the water bill and owes the Freeland Municipal Authority some $36,000 says Freeland Borough Manager Lynn Falatako.

Freeland Village is no stranger to problems. Eyewitness News has been here several times in recent years for things like mold, leaking pipes. Residents here are not surprised that water may be shut-off.

No one was in the business office Wednesday and our phone calls have not yet been returned.

Freeland Village is privately owned. But it receives federal money to help pay the rent of many of its residents.
