It's a tribute to a fallen friend. A group of men from Union County embarked on a cross-country bicycle ride Thursday morning.

The young men will drive to California and then bike all the way back to Pennsylvania.

They're also filming a documentary along the way, outlining their journey.

The ultimate goal is to establish a memorial scholarship for their friend Aaron Klinger.

Klinger died in a car crash earlier this year.

Justin Jarrett, Klinger’s childhood friend, explained, "A lot of stuff goes through your head, especially on this morning. But mostly you really just think about why you're doing this and you go back to why we've spent the last 5 months working and it's all because of Aaron. So it all goes back to him."
