Kingston, Luzerne County - A Luzerne County community is lending one public library a helping hand.

Kingston council voted on several resolutions Monday night that benefit the Hoyt Library. The facility needs more funds before it can open its new addition.

The children's wing has been closed since its roof collapsed during last year's Valentine's Day snowstorm.

Construction on the new addition should begin by the end of the summer and is expected to take about four years.
