HANCOCK, NEW YORK- Funeral plans have been set to remember a fallen soldier from New York State.

Staff Sergeant Justin Whiting, 27, died Saturday in Iraq after his vehicle struck a roadside bomb.

Whiting was a native of Hancock, New York near the Pennsylvania border.

A viewing for Whiting has been set for Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Emory United Methodist Church in Hancock, New York.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 1:00 in the afternoon at the auditorium of the Hancock Central School.
