JENKINS TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY -- A New Jersey gang member is jailed in Luzerne County for dealing heroin -- and leading police on a high-speed chase.

Police say they spotted 30-year-old Adib Mohamad selling heroin Thursday night in Jenkins Township at a known drug house on Market Street.

When officers moved-in -- he sped off. They caught him in the Pittston Turkey Hill parking lot.

Investigators searched Mohamad's room the next day at the Quality Inn on Route 315 in Pittston Township. That's where they seized $4,500 in drugs.

Mohamad faces multiple charges including possession with the intent to deliver heroin and fleeing police.
