Lewisburg, Union County-

A central Pennsylvania theater group is set to perform its 10th annual production of Shakespeare-In-The-Park.

Fifteen actors with the Gaspipe Theatre Company will present the play, Hamlet, at various locations over the next four days.

The actors have been rehearsing diligently in the days leading up to the shows. They say Shakespeare’s work is best experienced in a performance-style setting.

Gaspipe Theatre Company co-founder and director Danielle Scott explained, “The language, the interpretation, the depth of the literature- it can be interpreted in so many ways. And I think it’s good to bring that level of culture to the communities of central Pennsylvania.”

The shows start at seven each night. They are free and open to the public.

The dates and locations are as follows:

-Wednesday, July 29th- the New Milton Public Library

-Thursday, July 30th- Bloomsburg Town Park Pavilion

-Friday, July 31st- Williamsport East End Park (behind Divine Providence Hospital)

-Saturday, August 1st- Lewisburg Hufnagle Park gazebo
