Muncy Township, Lycoming County-

Two groups are looking for support for a project that would provide electricity and internet access to a village school in Zambia, Africa.

I-TEC of Montoursville is teaming up with Auntie Anne's Pretzels at the Lycoming Mall to "Give a Day to Others." The event runs from open to close on Saturday, August 23rd at the mall.

Auntie Anne's employees are donating their wages for the day. All sales and other donations will also go to the fundraiser.

I-TEC President Tom Garber noted, "To get computer training in Africa you have to go to like the capital city. Well many times the kids never come back to the village again. So this is a village project, an opportunity for village kids who live in mud houses with grass roofs to become trained."

I-TEC works with mission groups all over the world. All the money raised will help I-TEC employees with the costs to travel to Zambia and install the electric generator.
