WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- The trial for a Wyoming man charged with first degree murder began Monday. Jabar Wallace turned himself into police last year. Police say he shot and killed Eric Cusaac of Brooklyn, New York.
The murder happened inside the Glass Bar in Edwardsville in December, 2007. Wallace admits to shooting Cusaac, but says was in self defense. Wallace's lawyer says Cusaac attacked Wallace in the Glass Bar bathroom.
His lawyers are asking the jury to reduce his murder charge to manslaughter. A woman testified Monday Wallace made her hide the murder weapon.
Testimony continues Tuesday.
